Accomplishments

  • Named Guardian of the Taxpayer by the Colorado Union of Taxpayers.
  • Earned an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association
  • In 2007, he created the Colorado Clean Energy Authority, which will bring millions of dollars in development to Colorado. In 2008, he passed legislation to increase community college renewable energy efforts.
  • Representative Gardner has been named legislator of the year by the Colorado Livestock Association, Colorado Corn Growers Association, Colorado Child Care Association, Commnity Pharmacies of Colorado, and a Champion of Rural Colorado by the Independent Bankers. He has received the friend of Home Care award from the Home Care Association of Colorado, the Pinnacle Award from the Colorado Farm Bureau, and the Colorado Federation of Young Republicans recently awarded Cory with the first ever “Reagan Award” for Outstanding Support. The Colorado Civil Justice League has recognized Rep. Gardner on numerous occasions for his efforts to reduce frivolous litigation and runaway lawsuit abuse. Rising Tide, a national publication of the Republican National Committee recently recognized Cory as one of the 40 top Republicans under age 40 in the United States.
