2010 Plan: Real Solutions for America

Spending Restraint and Limited Government

In the Gardner household, we know we have to watch how much money we spend in order to make sure we can cover our bills.  Congress must pass a balanced budget amendment.  It is time Congress starts living within its means as well.
Accountability

There's an old saying, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander."  If Congress passes a law, I believe it should apply to everyone, including Congress.
Transparency

I am a firm believer in transparency.  Government does not need to spend every dime but every dime that is spent should be accounted for.
Creating Jobs and Powering the Future

It is high time we get this country moving again by creating opportunities for every citizen and jump starting our engines of commerce.  We need to allow private businesses to create jobs and generate wealth without the stifling hand of government.
Real Health Care Solutions

If we want real competition in health care, we need to keep the government out of it.  When the government gets involved in the private sector, it doesn't compete, it inhibits.
National Defense

I believe as our great president Ronald Reagan believed, "Peace through Strength."  Our country's most important Constitutional duty is to protect and preserve the United States by providing for its common defense.
